EMU's
best to be honored at Institutional Values Awards
Some of Eastern Michigan University's most valuable players
will receive their due.
Institutional Values Award winners in six categories will
be announced during a Fall Convocation scheduled Friday,
Sept. 29, 10 a.m., in Quirk Theatre. Winners also are invited
to join EMU President John Fallon for lunch at the Carillon
Room in Halle Library immediately following the convocation.

"These awards recognize the exemplary efforts of
all employee categories whose efforts support the EMU institutional
values, mission and guiding principles," said
Vicki Bagherzadeh, director, University budget, who
coordinated this year's awards nominations. "It demonstrates
the commitment to continuous improvement and that the University
values all employees."
Awards will be given in five individual categories and
one award will honor team excellence. Each of the awards
carries a $3,500 monetary stipend, funded by the EMU Foundation.
In cases where a team won an award, the stipend will be
divided equally among the team's members. Award winners
were notified within the last few days.
