Stanley Russ, who worked as an electrician at Eastern
Michigan University for 22 years before retiring in 1999,
died Sept. 13. He was 71.
Russ graduated from the then-Ann Arbor High School in
1955 and served in the U.S. Army from 1957-59. Before coming
to EMU, Russ worked as an electrician for four different
companies from 1966-76.
Survivors include three sisters, Carol Edman, of Cheboygan;
Marilyn Gibson,of Dexter; and Judy Pace of Chelsea; a special
friend, Tonette Popaneti, of Coral Springs, Fla.; two
nieces and six nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to Arbor Hospice or
St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
