The Eastern Michigan University Board of Regents approved
the appointments of 20 staff at its regular meeting Sept.
21.
Of the 20 appointments, 12 (60 percent) are female and
eight (40 percent) are males. The group demographics include
16 Caucasians (80 percent), three African Americans (15
percent) and one Hispanic (5 percent).
Those receiving appointments are:

Lehman |
Kevin Lehman, of Lancaster, Ohio, director of basketball
operations, women's basketball, intercollegiate athletics.
Previously, Lehman was women's basketball manager at Michigan
State University from 2004-2007. Lehman received his bachelor's
degree in journalism from Michigan State University.
Camila Olaio, of Ypsilanti, assistant coach, women's volleyball,
intercollegiate athletics. Most recently, Olaio was a graduate
assistant volleyball coach at Eastern Michigan University
during 2006. She also was marketing coordinator for Amazon
Mania in Sao Jose dos Campos, SP, from 2004-2006. Olaio
received her bachelor's degree in travel and tourism from
Eastern Michigan University.

Thrun |
Darin Thrun, of Nashville, Mich., assistant coach, women's
basketball, intercollegiate athletics. Previously, Thrun
was student manager for the women's basketball team at
Michigan State University and has worked with the Michigan
State University basketball camps. Thrun received his bachelor's
degree in biological science from Michigan State University.
Sarah Volpe, of Athens, Ohio, administration,
intercollegiate athletics. Before coming to EMU, Volpe
was an assistant swimming coach at Ohio University from
2005-2007. Volpe received her master's degree in recreation
and sports science, and her bachelor's degree in exercise
physiology, both from Ohio University.
LaTonya Tate, of Detroit, assistant coach,
women's basketball. Prior to coming to EMU, Tate was an
assistant women's basketball coach at the University of
Detroit Mercy from 2004-2007 and at the University of Illinois
at Chicago from 1999-2001. Tate received her bachelor's
degree in leisure services from the University of Iowa.

Drake |
Leonard Drake, of Beaumont, Texas, assistant
head coach, women's basketball. Previously, Drake was women's
head basketball coach at Lamar University from 2002-2007.
He was associate head basketball coach at Lamar from 1997-2002.
Drake also had been men's head basketball coach at Central
Michigan University from 1993-1997. Drake received his
master's degree in special education and his bachelor's
degree in education, both from Central Michigan University.

Lawson |
Martita Lawson, of Toledo, Ohio, assistant
director, Student Business Services. Lawson received her
MBA in human resource management from the University of
Toledo and her bachelor's degree in human resource management.
Previously, Lawson was student account coordinator at Adrian
College from 2004-2007 and an insurance agent at American
Family Insurance in Toledo, Ohio, from 1996-2003.

Crocker |
Chad Crocker, of Springtown, Texas, director,
facilities maintenance, physical plant. Previously, Crocker
was assistant director of facilities at Texas Wesleyan
University from 2006-2007. Crocker also had served as supervisor
of the central plant at Texas Women's University in Denton,
Texas, from 2004-2006. Crocker received his MBA from the
University of North Texas; his bachelor's degree in criminal
justice administration from Park University in Parkville,
Mo.; and his associate's degree in liberal arts from the
University of North Dakota Lake Region from Grand Forks
Air Force Base in Grand Forks, N.D.
John Donegan, of Toledo, Ohio, associate
vice president, facilities, physical plant. He previously
was director, facilities management and senior director,
plant operations, at the University of Toledo from 2000-2007.
He was administrator/chief facilities officer and vice
president for facilities at the Medical College of Ohio
in Toledo, Ohio, from 1988-2000. Donegan received his MBA
from the University of Findlay in Findlay, Ohio, and his
bachelor's degree in engineering from Ohio State University.
Tamara Morle, of Jefferson Hills, Pa., executive secretary,
vice president for business and finance. Before coming
to EMU, Morle was assistant executive director for Verizon
Wireless in Warrendale, Pa., from 2006-2007. Prior to that,
Morle was executive assistant to the vice president of
sales at Ariba, Inc., in Pittsburgh, Pa., from 2005-2006.
Tashina Frost, of Belleville, customer service representative
II, Student Business Services. Previously, Frost was a
regional sales coordinator for CitiMortage in Ann Arbor
from 2005-2007 and a services specialist with Citizens
Insurance in Howell, Mich., in 2005. Frost received her
bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Grand Valley
State University.
Sara Bliss, of Ypsilanti, site coordinator, Center for
the Study of Children and Families. Bliss most recently
was an at-risk educator at Redner Elementary School in
Ypsilanti from 2006-2007. Before that, she was an ESOL
instructor at Language Link in Ann Arbor from 2004-2005.
Bliss received her bachelor's degree in Asian languages
and cultures from Michigan State University.
Allison Fournier,
administrative associate I, communication
and theatre arts. Fournier most recently
served as supplemental office support
in the communication and theatre arts
department and a SummerQuest program
director at Eastern Michigan University
during 2007. She also has been an
adjunct lecturer at EMU since 2004.
Fournier received her master's degree
in communication and her bachelor's
degree in communication and theatre
arts, both from Eastern Michigan University.
Samuel Froomkin, of Belleville, site coordinator, Center
for the Study of Children and Families. Froomkin most recently
was director of campus programming, research assistant
for GEAR UP at Eastern Michigan University from 2006-2007.
Prior to that, he was a middle school social studies and
language arts teacher at Yeshivas Darchei Torah in Southfield.
Froomkin received his bachelor's degree in secondary education
social studies from Eastern Michigan University.
Katelyn Porter of Manchester, Mich., site coordinator,
Center for the Study of Children and Families.

Snow |
Megan Snow, of Holland, Mich., assistant
athletic trainer, intercollegiate athletics. Snow previously
was an athletic training intern at Michigan State University
from 2006-2007 and a graduate assistant for women's field
hockey, gymnastics and volleyball at Central Michigan University
from 2004-2006. Snow received her master's degree in sport
administration at Central Michigan University and her bachelor's
degree in movement science from Grand Valley State University.
Michael Andaloro, of Grass Lake, senior graphic designer,
advancement communications. Andaloro had been a freelance
graphic designer for advancement communications at Eastern
Michigan University from 2006-2007. Before that, he had
been a freelance graphic designer for various clients since
1992. Andaloro received his bachelor's degree in fine arts
from Eastern Michigan University.
Lourdes Mir-Orrange, of Ann Arbor, mental health counselor,
counseling. Mir-Orrange previously was a therapist at HelpSource
in Ann Arbor from 2002-2007 and a counselor/therapist for
counseling and psychological services at Cornell University
Health Services in Ithaca, N.Y.

Vuocolo |
Paul Vuocolo, of Ypsilanti, college Web master, College
of Education, dean's office. Prior to coming to EMU, Vuocolo
was an assistant manager at Reprographics One, Inc., in
Livonia, from 2004-2007 and a records and information coordinator
for Pfizer, Inc., in Ann Arbor, from 2001-2003. Vuocolo
received his bachelor's degree in communications technology
from Eastern Michigan University.
Ann Marie Steichmann, of Ypsilanti, platform specialist
II, ICT enterprise applications and services. Steichmann
most recently was a software engineer for Soar Technology
in Ann Arbor from 2005-2007.
