Eastern Michigan University's Athletics Department operates with an approximate $14.9 million budget. The budget is made up of nine different categories that fund 21 male and female athletic teams, including women's soccer (below) in the Mid-American Conference. The breakdown in planned funding sources for fiscal year 2007 is:

Tuition, fees and housing paid — students on scholarship $4,773,198 (38.47 percent)

Tuition, fees and housing paid — students not on scholarship $2,119,237 (17.08 percent)

Camps and donations $1,848,984 (14.90 percent)

General fee support of intercollegiate athletics $1,621,987 (13.07 percent)

NCAA $850,000 (6.85 percent)

Guaranteed revenue $750,000 (6.04 percent)

Ticket revenue $210,000 (1.69 percent)

Corporate sponsorships $200,000 (1.61 percent)

Miscellaneous $35,933 (.29 percent)
