Regents approve eight faculty, one staff retirement

The Eastern Michigan University Board of Regents approved the retirement of eight faculty members and one staff member at its regular meeting Sept. 22. Those retiring from the University are:

Margaret Best, of Ypsilanti, associate professor, library, 15 years.

Kathleen Hillegas, of Ann Arbor, associate professor, nursing, 28 years.  

Glenda Kirkland, of Southfield, professor, music and dance, 36 years.

Morrey Kramer, of Ann Arbor, associate professor, accounting and finance, 25 years.

Larry Newhouse, of Ann Arbor, gallery program director, fine arts, 15 years.

John Senko

Pedro Sanchez, of Ann Arbor, professor, computer information systems, 37 years.

John Senko, of Farmington Hills, institutional research and information management, 24 years.

John R. Smith, of Ypsilanti, assistant professor, music and dance, 40 years.

Thomas Soyster, of Northville, associate professor, engineering technology, 27 years.
