Eastern Michigan University's College of Business is one
of the "Best 282 Business Schools" in the nation, according
to The Princeton Review. The New York-based education services
company features EMU in the just-published 2007 edition
of its "Best 282 Business Schools" (Random House/Princeton
Review, Oct. 3, 2006, $22.95).
"We are all very proud that this is the third consecutive
year that we have received this recognition," said David
Mielke, dean of the EMU College of Business. "The prestigious
recognition by The Princeton Review reinforces our branding
as an 'innovative, applied and global' college of business.
Because inclusion on this list is based heavily on student
input, we have credibility as to the high quality of our
faculty and programs."

The Princeton Review compiled the ranking list based on
its survey of 18,000 students attending the 282 business
schools profiled in the book, and on institutional data
from the schools. The survey asked students 80 questions
about themselves, their career plans, and their school's
academics, student body and campus life.
Students praised a wide range of EMU offerings, touting
the "excellent entrepreneur services" and "excellent computer
labs."
The tallies of student survey-based ranking lists were
based on surveys of students during the 2005-06, 2004-05
and 2003-04 academic years, primarily online at The Princeton
Review's student survey site: http://survey.review.com.
No ranking list is based on The Princeton Review's opinion
of the schools, nor do the books have one hierarchical
ranking list of all schools profiled.
The book features a two-page school profile covering academics,
admission, financial aid, campus life and career/employment
information.
The Princeton Review is known for its test-prep courses,
education programs, college and graduate school admission
services, and 200 books published by Random House. Among
them are "Best 168 Medical Schools" and guides
for graduate school admission exams and application essays. Headquartered
in New York, The Princeton Review is not affiliated with
Princeton University.
