Former business and marketing visiting lecturer dies

John Cecil McHale, a former visiting lecturer of business and marketing at Eastern Michigan University from 1993-1994, died Oct. 10. He was 75.

McHale received his MBA from the University of Michigan and his bachelor's degree from Albion College. He worked at Proctor & Gamble and General Electric before teaching business and marketing courses at EMU as well as Washtenaw Community College.

McHale enjoyed working at the Ann Arbor Public Library and the Michigan Historical Society. He taught Sunday school and sang in the choir at St. Clare's Episcopal Church. His activities included tennis, running and skiing.

Survivors include a son, John (Chikako) Iverson; a daughter, Gretchen Luke; a sister, Sarah McHale Holdhusen; a granddaughter, and numerous nieces and nephews.
