Eastern Michigan University recently hosted its annual Family Day event for
the campus and community. More than 50 free activities were available for
all ages. Activities included visiting with local firefighters (below);
fun in the lab; making sand art; tours of the greenhouse; music by a bagpipe
band and the colonial fife and drums; art gallery tours, vintage baseball,
face painting, a diving and swimming exhibition; a safety zone, super heroes,
a fencing demonstration and more. The following are some key numbers for
this year's event.
