"The diversity of the campus is one of the reasons I was
interested in coming to Eastern Michigan University," said
Martin. "EMU is representative of the positive impact diversity
can have in expanding the education of students outside
of the classroom. I am proud to be a part of that."
"As we all know, diversity is practiced at many levels,
including race, gender, ethnicity, multiculturalism and
more. This issue and awards program are a celebration of
Michigan's diverse communities and businesses, which strengthens
our state and is a source of pride for all of us," said
Corp! Publisher Jennifer Kluge.
Diversity award winners were selected in three categories:
diversity-focused company, diversity champion and diversity
business leader.
Diversity business leader is defined by Corp! Magazine
as an individual who is a diversity role model or top officer
of a minority-owned business.
The 56 diversity award recipients will be profiled in
the magazine's "Salute to Diversity" issue. Corp! Magazine,
founded in 1998, is Michigan's largest business magazine.
