HELP: Marty Martinson,
a lecturer at San Francisco State University's
Department of Health Education, presented
"Grandma, can you give us a hand?:
A Critical Gerontologist's Look at the
Promotion of Civic Engagement in Later
Life" Oct. 14 in the Student Center.
Martinson was the keynote for the EMU
Gerontology Department's Fall Lecture,
which has been an annual event for more
than 20 years. This year, the lecture
also was included as part of the Elder
Week Conference.
