FINISH THIS STORY: Frances Martin, a volunteer with the nonprofit writing center, 826michigan, hands out a story that needs to be finished as part of National Day on Writing activities that took place on campus Oct. 20. 826michigan is dedicated to supporting students, ages 6-18, with their creative and expository writing skills. Activities included writing marathons, WritingCorps, writing activities, persons acting as roving reporters and opportunities to submit writing samples to the National Gallery. Approximately 1,800 persons participated in the campus event.
