I came to EMU about 17 years ago. I had been working as the associate
coordinator for substance abuse services in Washtenaw and
Livingston counties. I felt as though I had done everything
I could in that position and wanted be part of something larger. It really
was serendipitous.
Eastern Michigan University has given me many opportunities to serve
our students, faculty and staff in ways that help make positive changes
in their lives, our campus and the greater community. Every one of us
plays a role in helping our students develop.
I know this is supposed to be "Why I Work at EMU", but I don't see this
as work. I am honored to be able to serve the students,
faculty and staff here.
