  • Star Lecture focuses on avian flu: James VandenBosch, professor of biology, presents, "Avian Flu: A Microbiologist's View," Wednesday, Nov. 30, 6:30-7:45 p.m., Multipurpose Room, Village Commons. VandenBosch also will discuss the unique nature of the H5N1 avian flu and the challenges it presents for vaccine development and drug treatment. This event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided. For more information, call Rebecca Russell, 487-0341.
