Regents approve 20 new staff appointments

The Eastern Michigan University Board of Regents approved
the appointments of 20 new staff at its regular meeting
Nov. 15. Of the 20 appointments, 12 (60 percent) are females
and eight (40 percent) are males. Demographics include
14 Caucasians (75 percent), one Hispanic (5 percent) and
five African Americans (20 percent).

Wagner |
Staff receiving appointments are:

Sandra Wagner, of Dexter, head women's
golf coach. Prior to her appointment at Eastern Michigan
University, Wagner was assistant women's golf coach at
the University of Michigan from 2000-2005. She also is
a golf pro at Miles of Golf-Kendall Academy in Ann Arbor.
Wagner received her bachelor's degree in business management
from Ferris State University.

Capelli |
Craig Capelli, of Ann Arbor, head women's
tennis coach. Previously, Capelli was director of tennis
at The Chippewa Club from 2000-2005 and program director
there from 1996-99. He received his bachelor's degree in
management from Eastern Michigan University.
- Douglas Bunce, of Ann Arbor, human
resources generalist I, human resources. Bunce previously
was a human resource representative with Manpower at
the University of Michigan Health Systems in Ann Arbor
from 2003-2005. Before that, he was a sales representative/department
trainer with Sears from 1998-2004. Bunce received both
his master's degree in human resource management and
organizational development, and his bachelor's degree
in psychology/business management, from Eastern Michigan
University.
- Tasha Ring, of Ypsilanti, manager, regional
admissions, admission off-campus outreach. Before coming
to EMU, Ring was marketing manager at Kaplan Test Prep
and Admissions in Cincinnati, Ohio. Prior to that, Ring
was a leasing consultant with Nexus PM (The Drees Company).
Ring received her bachelor's degree in arts administration/marketing
from Eastern Michigan University.
- Darin Taylor, of Southfield, campus
police officer, department of public safety. Prior to EMU,
Taylor was a police officer with the Detroit Police Department
from 2004-2005. Taylor received his bachelor's degree in
accounting from Eastern Michigan University.
- Travis Temeyer, of Ypsilanti, assistant
coordinator of construction projects, minor specialist
alterations. Temeyer most recently had been in a student-training
program with John Deere from 2003-05. Before that, he was
an architectural technician with StruXture Architects in
Waterloo, Iowa. Temeyer received his bachelor's degree
in industrial technology management from the University
of Northern Iowa.
- Tina Robinson, of Ypsilanti, construction
accountant, vice president for student affairs. Prior
to coming to EMU, Robinson was a field account superviser
for Barton Malow Company in Southfield from 2000-2005.
Before that, Robinson was an account receivable/payable
coordinator with James P. Ryan Architects & Associates
in Farmington Hills from 1999-2000. She received
her bachelor's degree in business administration
from the University of Phoenix in Southfield.
- Susan Sohn, of Farmington Hills, specialist,
Office of International Students. Sohn has served
as a graduate assistant in the Office of International
Students in 2005 and as a graduate assistant in the office
of the vice president for student affairs from 2004-2005.
Prior to coming to EMU, Sohn was a program manager
with Lawrence Technological University's Manufacturing
Academy of Plastic Sciences (MAPS) from 2003-2004. She
received her master's degree in industrial engineering
from Purdue University and her bachelor's degree in industrial
administration from General Motors Institute in Flint.
- Raquel Huffman, of Northville, health
and safety specialist, health safety administration. Prior
to coming to EMU, Huffman completed a safety department
internship with William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak.
She received her bachelor's degree from Ferris State University.

services.
- D'Anne Hula, of Whitmore Lake, secretary
II, biology.
- Shenika Young, of Ypsilanti, customer
service representative II, continuing education regional
center-Detroit.
- Mohammad Abdul Sater, of Ypsilanti,
fast food worker, dining services.
- Ashley Sullivan, of Canton, fast food
worker, dining services.
- Kenneth Kopka, of Dundee, groundsperson;
grounds, walks and roadways.
- Rebecca Maylone, of Osseo, fast food
worker, dining services.
- Corey Baskin, of Belleville, academic
support program specialist, Upward Bound Program.
- Christine Notis, of Belleville, research
assistant II, biology.
- Kathrine Stahl, of Belleville, interior
designer, physical plant office.
- Josehns Goncalves, of Ann Arbor, access
services specialist, students with disability services.
