Fedel and Secrest

DEFYING AGE: (above, from left) Frank Fedel, an Eastern Michigan University lecturer of anatomy and physiology, tests world-class cyclist Michael Secrest in his graduate course, Advanced Lab Techniques in Human Performance Analysis Nov. 26 in the exercise physiology lab in Warner. Fedel tested Secrest's maximal oxygen consumption, his EKG and blood pressure. All of his test results were normal except, that at 54 years old, Secrest graded "superior" in the category for 18-29-year-old males. Photo by Babs Rambold
