Submission Information and Copy Deadlines

"PEOPLE" is a column that runs occasionally in Focus EMU. If you have an item on an EMU faculty, staff or administrator who has done something of note recently, please forward to: ron.podell@emich.edu or call 487-4400.

"EMU Spotted" is an occasional feature that appears in Focus EMU, noting the institution's name or individuals showing up in out-of-the way places. If you have an EMU Spotted item, please forward to: ron.podell@emich.edu or call 487-4400.

"EMU By the Numbers" is a feature that appears in FOCUS EMU each week. "EMU By the Numbers" provides statistical information in graph form about some aspect of Eastern Michigan University. If you have a suggestion or actual information to submit for "EMU By the Numbers," please forward to ron.podell@emich.edu or call 487-4400.

"Why I" is a feature that appears in Focus EMU each week. If you have a suggestion for the "Why I" feature, please forward it to: ron.podell@emich.edu or call 487-4400. The only criterion is that the person suggested must be a current EMU employee who has worked at the University for at least three years.

To place a news brief in Focus EMU, please submit the information by noon on Wednesdays to ensure that it appears in the following Tuesday's edition of Focus EMU. In the event that more news briefs are submitted than space allows, the Focus EMU editor will make the determination, based on news value, which briefs will appear. Briefs that do not appear in Focus EMU will be placed on EMU Today.
