Artist's Statement:
Over the years my work has evolved following the course of my changing interests and skills. It has taken the form of Sculpture using a range of materials, multi-media installations, drawings, prints, photographs, and video. If there is a common thread through these works it is an interest in the human condition in general (such things as memory, conflict, love, belief systems, politics, etc.) and more specifically the human encounter with modern technology, especially television and the computer. Formally, my work has been governed by a desire for clarity and simplicity. In the construction of each work I tend to go through a process of progressively eliminating non essential elements and "polishing" those that remain to avoid redundancy and clutter. At the same time I typically accept, no, embrace the accidental (or incidental) discoveries that occur along the way.
