Geology

 

Undergraduate Major - General Geology Concentration: This concentration is for those who seek a general liberal arts education in geology or who are interested in a career combining geology with fields such as business, patent law, technical writing or industrial health and safety.

Undergraduate Major - Hydrogeology Concentration: The Hydrogeology Concentration prepares students for graduate study or employment in the hydrogeology industry. It focuses on those aspects of geology and related sciences that pertain to the occurrence, movement, supply and quality of fresh water and fresh water environments, with a focus on ground water.

Undergraduate Major - Professional Concentration: This concentration provides the necessary background for students planning to become professional geologists. Students who successfully complete the curriculum are prepared to enter positions in industry or to undertake graduate study in geology.

Undergraduate Minor - Geology: This minor is for those who major in biology, chemistry, geography, land use planning, GIS, physics, environmental science, or in fields such as business, patent law, technical writing or industrial health and safety.

Graduate Certificate- Water Resources: The graduate certificate in water resources is for graduate students or land-use professionals who need to increase their knowledge base in the fresh water sciences and the tools used to analyze these environments.
