Welcome to the Gerontology Program!

Eastern Michigan University's faculty and students along with professionals in the field of aging have developed a unique program that meets the diverse educational needs of students interested in issues of aging. Founded in 1976, the program is administered through a Committee composed of faculty who come from the following disciplines: Gerontology; Sociology; Health Administration; Nursing Education; Psychology; Occupational Therapy; Nutrition and Dietetics; Interior Design; Recreational Therapy; Women and Gender Studies; Special Education; Business; and Social Work.
