
Welcome to the Aging Studies Program!
As of the Summer 2013 semester the Gerontology Program has officially been renamed to the Aging Studies Program. The minor in Gerontology has also changed names to the minor in Aging Studies.
Eastern Michigan University's faculty and students along with professionals in the field of aging have developed a unique program that meets the diverse educational needs of students interested in issues of aging. Founded in 1976, the program is administered through a Committee composed of faculty who come from the following disciplines: Aging Studies/Gerontology; Sociology; Health Administration; Nursing Education; Psychology; Occupational Therapy; Nutrition and Dietetics; Interior Design; Recreational Therapy; Women and Gender Studies; Special Education; Business; and Social Work.
