EMU has been specializing in undergraduate education for more than 150 years! And we’re recognized as a best value in the College Guide to the 358 Most Interesting Colleges and Universities and by Kaplan as "One of the best buys for your tuition dollar.”
You won’t be taught by teaching assistants. The student to faculty ratio is 19:1 at EMU. The average class has 35 students. Your history class might have 90 people in it, but your writing and math classes will only have 25. You may even have a class with fewer than 20 students.
Not sure what you want to study? We have over 200 undergraduate programs for you to choose from. The choice is yours whenever you are ready. Check them out.
There’s no better time or way to learn more about yourself and the world than study abroad. We can even talk to you about financing your study-abroad plans.
You’ll get the “small college feel” while experiencing the richness of a larger university environment in The Honors College at Eastern Michigan University. Benefits include smaller classes, opportunities for civic engagement, and early registration.
High value is placed on both undergraduate research and practical field experience to prepare you for both graduate school and a career. Many programs at EMU require both. You will also be encouraged to present your research at our annual undergraduate symposium.
