The friends you make and the activities you become involved in will help define who you will be. You could be one of the 2500 freshmen who arrive on campus for the fall of 2007. We’re small enough that you won’t get lost in the crowd and large enough so you will never stop making friends. Our three day orientation will get you started.
EMU’s compact pedestrian campus is easy to navigate. The First Year Center is a popular resident option for freshmen and is close to where you will eat, meet friends, workout and study.
There are over 200 student organizations. If we don’t have the one you want, we’ll help your start one. Volunteer with VISION or lead in student government.
Greek Life is alive and well on this campus if you’ve been looking forward to the sorority/fraternity experience.
Division I athletics and a full array of intramural sports provide lots of options to watch, cheer and/or participate.
Our campus offers hundreds of part-time jobs in just about every building and department on campus. Many students, especially those who live on campus, earn money to help with college costs and provide some spending cash!
Our location is great. We’re not in the middle of cornfield or a big city. Ypsilanti is a small town designated as a Michigan “Cool City” with unique shops, restaurants, parks, pubs and shopping. And we’re adjacent to Ann Arbor, where you’ll find even more.
