The Collins Awards are presented annually to graduate students who demonstrate outstanding commitment to the University as indicated by a record of exceptional scholarly and/or creative activities, or service above and beyond the scope of the assistantship. The Ronald W. Collins Award recognizes scholarly and/or creative activity, and the Gerrie Collins Award recognizes exemplary service to the University. Individuals may be nominated for only one award and may receive a Collins Award only once.
It is the responsibility of the dean, department head, program director, supervisor, faculty, mentor and/or project coordinator presenting the nomination to provide supporting data. Information provided by the nominator will be invaluable to the selection process. The nomination packet should include:

All nomination materials must be received by March 1. Late or incomplete nominations or supporting materials will not be accepted. All nomination materials become the property of the selection committee and will be kept confidential. The award is presented at the Graduate Research Fair Reception later in March.
