How does it work? (from GoodSearch FAQ page)

  • On the GoodSearch homepage, choose from hundreds of thousands of organizations or add your favorite cause to our list.
  • Search the Internet just like you normally would — the site is powered by Yahoo!, so you'll get the same high-quality search results you're accustomed to.
  • A percentage of the revenue generated from advertisers is shared with the charity, school or nonprofit organization of your choosing.

Where does the money come from? (from GoodSearch FAQ page)

Search engines make most of their money from companies that pay an advertising fee when users click on links during a search. At GoodSearch, we've developed a patent-pending way to track and direct these search-generated proceeds to charities. In other words, a portion of advertiser dollars (and not your own!) earned as a result of your search, are now passed along to the organization you've chosen to support.

How can I use GoodSearch to raise money for the Eagles Nest Project?

  1. Go to http://www.goodsearch.com
  2. Enter "Habitat for Humanity at Eastern Michigan University" in the text box labeled "I'm Supporting" and click "Verify"
  3. The name of the organization should now be showing in that text box, so now search at your heart's desire! Each search will raise $0.01 for the project!

Please do not abuse this fundraising tactic through overclicking just to raise money. It could result in our cause being removed from the list.
