There are a number of ways faculty, staff, students, and guests can
use computers in the Halle Library. There are several open computer labs
as well as wireless connections and network drops throughout the building.
At the Bruce T. Halle Library, we have made it a priority to keep up
with growing student demand for computers. Currently, there are more
than 600 computers for student use in the library building. To accommodate
all our users and their needs, we have designated the various computing
areas to serve different uses.
Most of the computers in the library are only available to EMU students,
faculty and staff. A valid my.emich account is
required to login to the computing equipment. To see what software is
available in EMU's computing labs, visit http://ict.emich.edu/service/labs/software.cfm.
Six computers at the front of the Information Commons are available to
the general public to search library subscription databases and government
web sites. To print from the 'general public' computers, a fee must be
paid.

further instructions, see Wireless - Getting Connected at http://ict.emich.edu/wireless/connected.cfm
Several hundred hardwired ports are scattered throughout the four levels.
