The Information Services librarians at EMU's Library want you to succeed!!!

We can help you with:

  • Halle Library building, services, and policies
  • Directions to EMU offices, buildings, and activities
  • Using Voyager, our online catalog
  • Requesting materials from our Automated Retrieval Collection (ARC)
  • Using EMU Library collections and resources
  • Requesting materials from other libraries and searching other libraries' catalogs
  • Defining a research topic
  • Choosing and using library search tools, both print and electronic
  • Evaluating the quality of research resources
  • Searching the World Wide Web

Other Services

  • Librarian subject specialists to support the special information needs of most EMU academic programs
  • Consultation with faculty and staff on their instruction, institutional, and research needs

Student Assistants in Information Commons

  • help with computer problems and paper jams
  • provide basic Voyager (online catalog) search assistance
  • provide basic electronic database searching assistance
  • Assist with microformats (Second Level)
  • Support the computers and printers in Rooms 110 and 111
