RefWorks - IngentaConnect
Instructions for Transferring Citations

Save as Text File and Import into RefWorks 

In IngentaConnect:

  1. Conduct a search and select citations to save by clicking the check box to the left of each citation and then clicking the update marked list link at the top of the citation list
  2. Click the Marked List link at the top, right side of the screen
  3. Click the export (plain text) link toward the top of the screen
  4. From your browser's File menu, select Save As. Save your file as a text file (with a .txt extension) to the location of your choice (e.g. desktop)

In RefWorks

  1. Login to your RefWorks database
  2. Select References/Import from the toolbar
  3. Select Ingent as the Import Filter/Data Source and <Multiple Databases> as the database
  4. Browse to find the text file you saved to your computer
  5. Click Import
  6. Your citation(s) will be imported into the Last Imported Folder. You may now move them into the folder of your choice
