RefWorks - JSTOR
Instructions for Transferring Citations

Direct Export

  1. To save citations, click the Save Citation link listed below each JSTOR item displayed on the Search Results and Table of Contents pages. To save all items displayed on a single page, click the SAVE ALL CITATIONS ON THIS PAGE link.
  2. To remove citations, click the "Remove Citation" link, which appears after you save your first citation.
  3. To view your Saved Citations List, click the VIEW SAVED CITATIONS link located at the top and bottom of Search Results and Table of Contents pages. Your Saved Citations List tracks items you have saved across JSTOR searches; however, items in your Saved Citations List will be deleted after you remove the citations from your list. Citations will also be deleted if you close your browser completely, or if you decide to "Exit JSTOR." The list can be sorted in ascending or descending chronological order by using the SORT BY feature at the top of the page.
  4. On the SAVED CITATIONS screen click the link 'Directly export citations into RefWorks.'

NOTE: The maximum number of citations you can save to your Saved Citations List is 200. A counter keeps track of the number of items you currently have saved. Items in excess of this limit will not be saved.
