Instructions for Transferring
Citations |
- Databases:
- ABI/INFORM Global
CINAHL [Can only Save as Text File and Import into RefWorks]
GenderWatch
New York Times Archive
ProQuest Nursing Journals
Direct Export to Refworks
- Conduct a search and select the records you want
by clicking
the check box to the left of each citation
- Click the Export link
(on the line above the first citation)
- Click Export directly to RefWorks
- Log into RefWorks and your records should automatically
appear in the Last Imported Folder
Save as Text File and Import into RefWorks
In ProQuest indexes:
- Conduct a search and select the records you want by clicking
the check box to the left of each citation
- Click the My Research tab toward the top of the screen
- Click Export citations into EndNote, ProCite, RefWorks
or Reference Manager
- Click Download in a format compatible with ProCite, EndNote,
Reference Manager and RefWorks
- From the File menu, select Save
As. Save your file as a text
file (with a .txt extension) to the location of your choice (e.g. desktop)
In RefWorks
- Login to your RefWorks database
- Select References/Importfrom
the toolbar
- Select ProQuest as the
Import Filter/Data Source and select the appropriate database
- Browse to find the text file you saved to your computer
- Click Import
- Your citation(s) will be imported into the Last
Imported Folder. You may now move them into the folder of your
choice.
