Instructions for Transferring Citations

Databases:

SpringerLink

Save as Text File and Import into RefWorks 

In SpringerLink:

1. Conduct a search and pen the record you wish to save by clicking on the title
2. In the right-hand menu, under Export this article, click on RIS
3. You will be prompted to save the file to your computer. Save the file as a text file.

In RefWorks

1. Login to your RefWorks database
2. Select References/Import from the toolbar
3. Select RIS Format as the data source and the database
4. Browse to find the text file you saved to your computer
5. Click Import
6. Your citation(s) will be imported into the Last Imported Folder. You may now move them into the folder of your choice
