PSY 205- Quantitative Methods in Psychology
This course introduces fundamental quantitative research methods with a focus on understanding commonly used inferential statistics in the social and behavioral sciences. Upon completing the course, students will have a basic understanding of how to interpret many of the types of statistical tests reported in the results sections of published scientific articles. Covered topics will include: frequency distributions, measures of central tendency and variability, standardized scores, probability, correlation, and various hypothesis tests including t-tests and analysis of variance (ANOVA).
