Apply to the Honors College
About 250 students are admitted to the Honors College each year. Most enter as freshmen, but many enter later in their EMU undergraduate careers and as transfer students from other colleges.
The Honors College seeks talented students with demonstrated intellectual achievement who desire a challenging academic program. The criteria considered by the admissions committee include:
- Previous academic performance
- Class rank
- ACT scores
- Letters of recommendation
- A personal essay describing personal, academic, and career goals
Prospective honors students should complete an Honors College application. (Links to applications in .pdf and .doc formats are on the right sidebar.) This application is separate from the application to Eastern Michigan University.
