Official Invitation and RSVP to The Honors College Orientation
The Honors College Orientation is August 5th, 2017!
Everyone at The Honors College is thrilled that you will soon join our community as an Honors student at EMU! Recently, you received an email asking you to save the date for The Honors College Orientation on Saturday, August 5th, from 8:30 AM - 2:40 PM , and below we have provided you with more details regarding the day. Registration begins at 8:00 AM in The Student Center Ballroom.

If you have not already applied to The Honors College, please do so prior to attending Orientation. Our application can be found here . If you attended the Presidential Scholarship Competition, you were automatically admitted and do not need to fill out an application.
1. RSVP and Attendance Requirements:
We ask that you please inform us by Friday, July 21st if you are able to attend by completing this RSVP Survey . While we recognize that students may not be able to attend due to travel distance, vacation plans, or work obligations, we strongly encourage all who are able, to attend. If you will not be in attendance on August 5th, please still respond to our RSVP Survey . This survey will prompt you to choose an alternate orientation date. Your membership will not be activated until you apply and attend an Honors orientation.
2. Family Information:
While you are participating in the day’s festivities, we will be offering an optional orientation for your family. Their activities will take place in the Pray-Harrold building. Registration for Honors Family Orientation begins at 8:30 AM and starts with a welcome at 9:00 AM. More information about Family Orientation can be found on our website. *Note: lunch will not be provided for families. The Honors College will provide a flyer at Family Orientation which can be used at any of the restaurants on our list and families will be able to receive a special Honors discount.
3. Location & Parking:
Student Orientation will be held in The Student Center Ballroom . The Student Center is located at 900 Oakwood St., Ypsilanti, MI. 48197. All students should be dropped off at this building. Free parking for family members will be available at Mayhew Lot 1, Ann St. Lot, Ford Lot and North Campus Green Lot 1. Free parking will be available for students at The Student Center. You can learn about The Common Read Book, Brown Girl Dreaming, which will be available to rent or purchase at Orientation. You can also find an itinerary, nearby hotel options, and Honors apparel for sale. Hotel reservations at the Hampton Inn can be made by following THIS LINK .
