Bio
Bill Tuscany is in his 22nd year as a member of the Eastern Michigan
University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics sports medicine
staff, having been promoted to associate head athletic trainer in
September 2001. In addition, Tuscany serves as a lecturer and clinical
instructor in EMU's accredited athletic training curriculum.
A 1973 Eastern Michigan University graduate, Tuscany earned his
master's from EMU in 1976. Before joining the EMU Athletics Department,
Tuscany was the Head Athletic Trainer at Lewis University in
Romeoville, IL., from 1976-86. In addition to his training duties at
Lewis, Tuscany was the Director of the Emergency Medical Services, an
Associate Professor, Physical Education and Chairman, Physical
Education Department fromm 1981-86.
A member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA), Tuscany
also serves as a certified examiner for the NATA’s Board of
Certification. Tuscany is also a member of the Great Lakes Athletic
Trainers’ Association as well as the Michigan Athletic Trainers’
Society. Tuscany and his wife, Carol, have a daughter, Sarah.
