Pay Practices
Please review the following revised version of the guidelines on pay practices for EMU employees (see link at bottom of page). The guidelines have been updated to be consistent with recent contract changes for the PT employee group which no longer include provisions for compensating time off (comp time) for employees in exempt classified positions. Also included is a new section regarding “Recording Hours Worked and Rounding Rules”. References to pay vouchers was also removed since that will no longer apply as web time entry processes are fully implemented and some additional clarifying language added based on frequent user questions. Please communicate and share with appropriate individuals who supervise staff and approve payroll submissions. It is important that these practices are understood and applied consistently throughout the University due to regulatory requirements.
Time and exception time reporting forms are also no longer included as all time reporting will now be done via web time entry processes.
