Research Interests
Dr. Carbone's research focuses on the role of diet and exercise in maintaining skeletal muscle integrity. Specifically, he's interested in how energy balance and dietary modifications affect the activity of the ubiquitin proteasome pathway of muscle protein breakdown.
Instruction
Dr. Carbone teaches a variety of courses within the Dietetics & Human Nutrition program, including Nutrition for Health Professionals (DTC203), Sports Nutrition (DTC204), Macronutrient Metabolism (DTC302), Research Design & Methods (DTC500), and Advanced Topics in Nutrition (DTC618).
