Peter M. Wege Lecture on Sustainability

Join UofM for an engaging conversation about climate action and social justice with Dr. Ayana Elizabeth Johnson. A marine biologist, policy expert, writer, and Brooklyn native, Johnson is the co-founder of Urban Ocean Lab, a think tank for costal cities, as well as co-creator of the Spotify/Gimlet podcast, 'How to Save a Planet,' which focuses on climate solutions. The event will be moderated by SEAS assistant professor Sara Hughes and will include a live Q&A with students. Registration can be found on the umich webpage.

EMU Faculty Interview Presentation -- Mineralogy, Petrology, and Structural Geology

Special research lecture from Hannah Blatchford, a PhD Candidate at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities, who is a finalist for the tenure track position in Mineralogy, Petrology, and Structural Geology. Her talk is titled, “Thinking small to see the big picture: Accessory minerals, trace elements, and how they can help us read the record of crustal exhumation”.
