Description: Learn design practices that will get the audience to engage with your poster. Creating and printing a professional poster in PowerPoint is different from creating a Word document. Learn more than just the mechanics of creating a poster in PowerPoint.
Availability: M-F 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM 
Eligibility: Faculty (and students in a classroom setting), Staff
Restrictions: No individual student training provided.
Support: Training is provided by Senior Instructional Technologist, Diane Lawrence, 734.487.3995, or diane.lawrence@emich.edu. Contact Diane to arrange a session for faculty/staff, or to work with students in a classroom setting.
Features and Options:

A lab in Halle Library can be reserved for a demonstration and hands-on practice. The class consists of:



  • poster design best practices
  • how to create a poster using PowerPoint
  • information on printing a poster
  • hands-on practice

Requisition and Approval Process: No requisition or approval is necessary.
Costs and Limitations: DoIT does not charge either departments or individuals for instruction. However, there is a charge to print large format posters in the IT Print Center.
