Activating a My.Emich Account
Follow these directions to activate your My.Emich account:
- From your browser, navigate to the Password Management Log in page at https://account.emich.edu.
- The Password Management Log in page is displayed.
- Click the Activate Account button.

- The Verification page is displayed.
Note: The Verification process may not be required at all times. - Type the two verification codes in the field located directly below the codes.
- Click the Refresh button to obtain different verification codes.
- Click the Audio button to toggle between text and audible verification codes.
- Click the Verify button.

- The Activate Account page is displayed.
- Type your EID in the EID field.
- Type your PIN in the PIN field.
Note: If you do not know your EID and PIN:- Students: Contact the Records and Registration office at 734.487.2300
- Faculty & Staff: Go to https://it.emich.edu/service/myemich/index.cfm and click Faculty/Staff.
- Click the Activate button.

- The Activation Confirmation page is displayed
- Click the Continue button.

- The Change Password page is displayed.
- Type your new password in the New Password field. Your password must meet the listed guidelines.
- Type your new password again in the Confirm Password field. System prompts will indicate when the passwords do not match or when your password does not meet the designated length or guidelines.
- Click the Change Password button.

- A Please Wait message is displayed as your password is changed in all EMU systems.

- The Password Change Confirmation page is displayed.
- Click the Continue button.

- The Update Profile description page is displayed.
- Review the alternate email examples and click to place a checkmark in the I Agree checkbox.
- Click the Continue button.
- The Update Profile page is displayed.
- Type your alternate email address (not your My.Emich email address) in the Alt Email Address field. Your alternate email address is used when you are Resetting a Forgotten My.Emich Password.
- Click the Update button.
- The Account Update Confirmation page is displayed.
- Click the Continue button.

- The Logout page is displayed. Close your browser window before attempting to login to My.Emich again.
