Student Center Location
Parking:
A new 242-space guest parking lot will open on the northwest corner of
the EMU Student Center Monday, Nov. 6, the same day as the building’s
grand opening at 11 a.m. This is one of a handful of important changes
in parking and EMU shuttle bus stops occurring as a result of the new
facility’s opening.
The new, attended Student Center guest lot can be accessed from
Oakwood St. on the building’s west side. Also on the west side, there
is a circular drive for passenger drop-off at the building’s main
guest entrance.
Like other designated guest lots on campus, the new Student Center lot
will offer free parking for the first 30 minutes to all students,
faculty, staff and guests, then $1.00 per hour or any fraction
thereof.
Other parking areas convenient to the EMU Student Center for those
with hang tags are the Mayhew, North 1 and North 2 lots, all located
north of the new facility. To the south, nearby parking includes the
parking structure and Oakwood lot (North).
McKenny Lot Changes
In order to accommodate our students, faculty, staff and University
guests, the McKenny parking lot will remain a guest pay lot through
the end of the fall semester.
