The Groove Yard - hosted by George Klein
WEMU 89.1 FM & online at wemu.org Sundays 1:00 - 3:00 PM
In observance of International Week at EMU (November 13-17), the Groove Yard, on WEMU 89.1 fm, will present a four-part series on the global aspects of jazz. Beginning on Sunday, November 12 and running for four consecutive Sundays, the Groove Yard will explore relationships that
continue to influence the evolution of jazz, from its origins in
America to numerous multi-cultural hybrids. Jazz from Europe, Asia and Africa, as well as the Americas, will show the opportunitues for new forms of expression transcending cultural differences.

 

Authors from Abroad

The Library is hosting a display of books by authors from various
places around the world with a fun game to play.  Winning players will
receive a delicious prize. Please see Lisa Klopfer for more details about the
