Tuesday, January 15th: Winter Welcome Back
2:00-4:00 in 352 Student Center
Join YOUR LGBT Resource Center as we get back into the swing of the winter semester. Stop in, drop by or stay in. We will have some warm foods and hot chocolate to sip on. (Food is only guaranteed for the first 30 people). Enter the "Know your RC" Raffle!

Wednesday, February 13th: Valentine's Queered
8:00PM in 320 Student Center
Have you ever wanted to find the perfect card for someone on Valentine's Day and think..."Hey! There aren't any!!!" Now you can come make your perfect card! We will be making some queer valentines (you know...glitter & unicorns)!

Tuesday, February 19th: The SAFE Campaign
(LBC Approved)
4:00-5:15PM in 330 Student Center
Did you know that EMU is one of the top LGBT friendly schools in the country? Help us sustain a campus climate that is inclusive of all individuals, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity/expression. More than 1,500 factulty, staff and students have particpated in this interactive workshop.

Monday, March 11th: Media Forum to Address LGBT Visibility
3:30-5:00 in The Student Center Auditorium
The Center for the Study of Equality and Human Rights will present a public forum entitled Media LGBT Visibility Forum: The Changing Landscape of Representation and Equality. Featured Speaker: Garrett Glaser, retired television journalist and founding member of the National Lesbian/Gay Journalists Association.

Monday, March 25th: Pride Prom
8:00PM in The Student Center Ballroom
Come dressed to the nine and dance the night away. This event is FREE!

Gay, straight, trans, bi, queer, questioning, gender benders, allies, and anything in between - if you have a question, together we'll find an answer. Come to your LGBT Resource Center for information, new friends, class resources, to volunteer, have fun, find quiet, support, answers, events, trainings, to watch a DVD, find your voice, and more! We strive to maintain an open and supportive environment for all. Our events are intended for everyone. That means YOU.

Mission Statement

Your Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Resource Center provides a comprehensive range of education, information, and advocacy services. We work to maintain and open, safe and supportive environment for all students, staff, faculty and the campus community.

Vision Statement

We recognize the intersections of gender and sexuality with the multiple identities we share such as race, ethnicity, age and culture. We choose to not merely tolerate, but respect and honor each individual. We hope to continue to build an inclusive campus community that is accepting of all people.
