Affirmations
 

Affirmations is the community center for lesbian, gay, bisexual & transgender (LGBT) people and their allies. Open since 1989 and located in Detroit suburb of Ferndale, Affirmations provides a welcoming space where people of all sexual orientations, gender identities & expressions, and cultures can find support and unconditional acceptance, and where they can learn, grow, socialize and have fun.

HARC
 

HIV/AIDS Resource Center (HARC) is a non-profit organization founded in 1986 by a group of volunteers to provide HIV/AIDS related services. HARC is dedicated to providing HIV/AIDS related services to our community through compassionate direct care, prevention and outreach activities. HARC also acts as a clearinghouse of HIV/AIDS related information, education and outreach to this four county region. Recognized and rewarded by local state and national groups, HARC's Outreach Team continues to provide innovative, effective programs that help decrease HIV transmission. This includes street outreach through a mobile unit that goes out into the community, bar outreach, and various HIV educational presentations in the community. HARC also provides anonymous free HIV testing at its office every Tuesday 1-9 pm, Wednesday 6-9 pm, and Saturday 10 am-2 pm.

Triangle Foundation
 

Triangle Foundation is Michigan’s leading organization serving the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender (GLBT) and allied communities. Triangle offers free assistance to victims of anti-GLBT harassment, vandalism, discrimination and violence; is Michigan’s leading voice in Lansing advocating on behalf of the GLBT community; conducts widespread public education on issues of interest to the GLBT community; and offers a variety of opportunities for youth including Camping.OUT, a national camp for young GLBT leaders. In addition, Triangle produces the GLBT community’s largest events, from Motor City Pride to the Reel Pride Michigan GLBT Film Festival.
