The Stonewall Scholarship is given to EMU students who have demonstrated leadership and/or involvement in organizations, activities, or issues that promote a positive gay/lesbian environment. Neither application for nor acceptance of this scholarship indicates the sexual orientation of the applicant. There are two $1000.00 scholarships available. One for an undergraduate student and one for a graduate student.
The eligibility criteria for the scholarship are:
~ An undergraduate or Second Bachelors student with a minimum EMU cumulative GPA of 2.75 who has completed 60 credit hours (EMU earned or accepted transfer credits) and who will be enrolled full-time (at least 12 credit hours)during Fall 2003.
~ A graduate student who has completed 12 credit hours of graduate courses, has a minimum GPA of 3.00 and will be enrolled full time (6 hours for graduate assistants; 8 hours for other graduate students) during Fall 2003.
