Who works in the Library

The Eastern Michigan University Library is staffed by library faculty and support staff. We acquire and manage materials in many formats - books, periodicals, music scores, sound recordings, videos, electronic journals, microforms, etc. - in all subjects. Research and reference services are provided to promote effective and efficient use of library and Internet resources.

There are also approximately 100 student assistants working in the library during fall and winter semesters. They staff the circulation desks, prepare library materials for use, shelve new and returned materials, and perform many other duties as needed. Their contribution is critical to library operations.
