Direct Export to Refworks

  1. Conduct a search and select the records you want by clicking on the Add to folder link below each record you want to save
  2. Click the Folder icon/link (above the results list on the right side of the screen)
  3. Select the records you want to export (Click Select: All if you want all)
  4. Click the Export icon (page with green arrow) on the right side of the screen
  5. Click the radio button in front of Direct Export to RefWorks NOTE: Uncheck the Remove these items from folder after saving feature if you want the items to remain in the folder after the export function.
  6. Click the Save button
  7. Log into RefWorks and your records should automatically appear in the Last Imported Folder

Save as Text File and Import into RefWorks 

In EBSCO iindexes:

  1. Conduct a search and select the records you want by clicking on the Add to folder link below each record you want to save
  2. Click the Folder icon/link (above the results list on the right side of the screen)
  3. Select the records you want to export (Click Select: All if you want all)
  4. Click the Export icon (page with green arrow)
  5. Click the radio button in front of Generic bibliographic management software. Note: Uncheck the Remove these items from folder after saving option, if you want items to remain in the folder after performing the export function.
  6. Click Save.
  7. From the File menu select Save As.
  8. Select the location where you want to save the file, type the name you want and select Text as the Save As Type.

In RefWorks

  1. Login to your RefWorks database
  2. Select References/Import from the toolbar
  3. Select EBSCOhost as the Import Filter/Data Source and select the appropriate database
  4. Browse to find the text file you saved to your computer
  5. Click Import
  6. Your citation(s) will be imported into the Last Imported Folder. You may now move them into the folder of your choice.
