RefWorks - Transferring References - SpringerLink

Databases:
SpringerLink

Save as Text File and Import into RefWorks 

In SpringerLink:

  1. Conduct a search and open the record you wish to save by clicking on the title
  2. On the right side of the screen, above the abstract, click EXPORT CITATION
  3. Below Export Citation - Export, select Citation and Abstract
  4. Below Export Citation - Select Format, leave RIS Format selected
  5. Below Export Citation- Select Citation Manager, select RefWorks
  6. Clcik the EXPORT CITATION button and save the file Export.ris

In RefWorks

  1. Login to your RefWorks database
  2. Select References/Import from the toolbar
  3. Select RIS Format as the data source and the database
  4. Browse to find the text file you saved to your computer
  5. Click Import
  6. Your citation(s) will be imported into the Last Imported Folder. You may now move them into the folder of your choice
