Energy -- Charles McGee at Eighty-Five
A retrospective of Detroit artist Charles McGee's work, entitled "Energy -- Charles McGee at Eighty-Five", will take place in both University and Ford galleries Nov. 9-Dec. 19. Two books in the EMU library collection, Sustained vision: honoring Charles McGee (1989) and Charles McGee seeing seventy (1994), feature McGee's earlier work. The opening reception is Monday, November 9th at the University Gallery from 4-7 p.m. with an artist discussion at 5 p.m. http://www.emich.edu/focus_emu/090809/artgalleries.html.

Full text of many dissertations now available
The library now has access to the full text of most dissertations from 1997 - present through the Dissertations Abstracts Full Text database. Access this resource through the library databases.

Club Halle: 24/7 access will return December 6th
In cooperation with EMU's Student Government, 24 hour access will be provided during "Club Halle." The first period for extended hours occurred during midterms, Oct. 18-29, granting 24 hour access to the lower level. The second period of extended hours will take place during finals, Dec. 6-17, and will allow current students access to all floors of the library. Paradox Cafe, located on the lower level, will remain open for both periods of extended hours.
Valid student ID is required for swipe card access to Club Halle after 12 a.m.

Textbooks Policy
Textbooks and laboratory manuals required for courses are not purchased by the EMU Library. Faculty may put copies of textbooks on Course Reserves at the library Circulation Desk.

FAX Services in the Library
Fax services are available in the library using the self-serve fax machine on the ground level near the Paradox Cafe. This machine operates using a credit card only. Additional faxing services are available at the eZone in the Student Center.
