Encyclopedias and Dictionaries
can cover a topic in more detail than a general encyclopedia and
often provide a good bibliography
at the end of an article. Use the index volume of the encyclopedia
to find the proper volume number and pages for your topic.
Search the EMU Library Catalog to locate subject encyclopedias and guides which you may find
useful for your topic. Use general keywords relevant to your topic ("women," "music," etc.), and limit the keyword search to "reference" on the main search screen.
