A Library space jointly managed with the Faculty Development Center, the Collaboratory is designed to incubate projects. It is designed for teaching/learning development and experimentation, the growing of new skills, testing new methods, and participating in collegial projects. Library instruction consultations and small group collaborations (grant or program development, faculty/staff mentoring, e-fellows projects, interdisciplinary teams, and co-teaching teams) are welcome.
The Collaboratory is open to all instructional personnel at EMU (faculty, lecturers and staff who teach or who lead co-curricular programs).
Equipment is available for training and rehearsal with:
• “Smart Classroom” model technology (Smartboard, ELMO, video, PPT, clickers, etc.)
• Library tools and online resources
• Lecture capture tools
• Online teaching technology and technique
